CAZA Coaches Celebrating Comp Results

On Sunday 13th October the CAZA BJJ competition team headed to the 2019 Caloundra Open for the second last QBJJC tournament of the year. This is effectively our “home” tournament, being closest to our Noosa Heads gym.

Coaches Yoshi Hasegawa and Andrew Bailey watched on as our competitors locked down a bunch of excellent results. By the end of the day, the CAZA team had won a total of 53 medals.

Here are the overall team results:

2019 Caloundra Open Results

While we finished second as a team overall, it’s the fact that our men’s, women’s and kid’s teams all finished top three that we are most proud of. It shows that everyone is not only welcome but can also be very successful when training with CAZA.

As we head towards 2020 we expect to build upon results like these while continuing to expand here on the Sunshine Coast. With more people asking about joining CAZA each week, we envisage a very bright future here in Queensland.
